After having a small coffee on a nice terrace of the village of Lagrasse, we started at 11:00 the walk by a small climb in a Mediterranean vegetation. The already high sun began to warm the limestone of the trail. After an hour of walking on a wide ridge, we took a small shady path on the hillside which descends quietly to Notre Dame du Carla. The place is particularly welcoming for picnics, we chose to have lunch on a sturdy stone table in the shade of the church under a cypress tree. Our friendly and talkative little group was getting to know each other and the time quickly passed on the way back to Lagrasse where we took a drink at the bar of the Abbey. We took the time to visit the narrow streets of this medieval village before the road back to Toulouse.
